Upstate Strength & Conditioning is hosting a 5K run/walk followed by sports trivia to raise money for the Crohn's & Colitis Foundation. The event will begin with a 5k run/walk at Indian Meadows Park (Glenville, NY) and will be followed by sports trivia at Wolf Hollow Brewery Schenectady, NY) hosted by COVEN for Good. Registration for the race is $30 and includes free admission to trivia. The admission fee to trivia for anyone not registered is $10.
Kevin LaFleur, owner and head trainer at Upstate Strength & Conditioning, was diagnosed with Crohn's Disease in 2012. At first, Kevin struggled with overcoming Crohn's Disease, but fitness helped Kevin regain strength and overall health. When he launched Upstate Strength & Conditioning in 2018, Kevin aimed to help those over come chronic illnesses and help high school athletes prepare to compete at the next level. Now, with the first annual 5K and trivia event, Upstate Strength & Conditioning's goal is to give back by raising money to benefit the Crohn's and Colitis Foundation in providing support to patients and researching treatments for these chronic illnesses.
