Navigating the waters of folk, pop and Americana, Sabrina Trueheart is making all the right moves in her adopted state of New York. A jazz-trained guitarist, she spent her teen and college years gigging at coffee houses surrounding her hometown of New Haven, Connecticut. After settling in New York in 2021, she released her solo EP, “Holding Onto Something Good,” a short but sweet collection of all-acoustic, folk-pop songs. Immersed in the vibrant New York music scene, she has traveled up and down the northeast, bringing her songs to life with ethereal vocal harmonies and enduring live instrumentation.
In September 2023, she was featured in the Writer’s Block Songwriters showcase at Mercury Lounge in New York, NY and performed a private guerrilla showcase at the Northeast Regional Folk Alliance conference in Ashbury Park, NJ in November 2023. She has been featured as an Artist in Residence on Folk Music Notebook as well as Pitch Perfect, York Calling, NYS Music, WEXT Radio, WEQX Radio, Nippertown Radio and Folk Music Notebook Radio.
