The Unken Brew Bluegrass Trio is “visually exciting to watch,” writes Bill Healy of Adirondack Bluegrass League. In 2024 Bruce Thompson and David Leiberman took their casual jamming to the next level and formed Unken Brew. With the addition of Sam Katz in early 2025, this trio has become an exciting group that blends bluegrass, blues and Americana, featuring songs from some of the world's greatest songwriters as well as their own original tunes. They’ve independently performed with Greensky Bluegrass, the Hackensaw Boys, Shakey Graves, Andy Statman, and even one of the Marsalis’s.
